During the summer of 2015, I served as a Newsroom Intern with the Alabama’s National Public Radio affiliate in Tuscaloosa, home of The University of Alabama. While there, I produced two feature stories that ran on-air and were heavily featured on the station website.

This piece looked at a new playground fixture in Tuscaloosa’s historic Snow Hinton Park. The unique structure, built by the Danish company Kompan, is a one-of-a-kind playground designed for children and adults of all ages. It’s challenging, a little bit scary, and a whole lot of fun.
