We close out this week’s celebration of all things Mr. Show with a sketch that is the exact opposite of yesterday’s featured sketch, Pre-Taped Call In Show. Yesterday’s sketch required viewers to actually think about what was going on, while today’s sketch, The Story of the Story of Everest, tells one joke over and over again. I’ve read complaints that this sketch isn’t funny and it just goes on too long, but I think that’s the point. It’s impossible for me not to laugh every single time Jay Johnston falls down. He’s a master of physical comedy and the show’s secret weapon. Whenever Jay shows up in a sketch, I know it’s going to be an especially good one.
I had a lot of fun with this week’s blog posts. Whenever I take on a week-long event, I always produce things I’m especially proud of. I should just do week-long events every week. What other television program/movie appeals to my readers??? I’ve got it! Next week, get ready for drawings of the cast of Jersey Shore! Yeah!
The Mr Show week was quite good. I would like to see something Seinfeld related sometime
